WHAT IS IMPORTANT? Is the title of the 16th edition of PAS – Performance Art Studies with BBB Johannes Deimling and 10 international participants from Canada, Portugal, Germany, USA, Greece and Venezuela. The topic of the 16th PAS project is: "What is important?" It is a big question but to begin with we will treat it as a rhetorical one. It is quite normal that people have different values, so what is important to me is not necessarily important to you. Everybody has their own scale of what is important for oneself. During the workshop we will observe that some subjects are important for more than one person while others remain on the private level. Intersections can appear between the individual borders of others. Opinions and communities of interests can be formulated to form stronger expressions. If we find these intersections in the process, we will be able to transform our own values into signs or images which are readable for more than one person. Through various exercises, tasks and discussions we will discover these intersections and try to explore the question: “What is important in the process of developing, presenting and reflecting a performance art piece?”. You can see how the workshop participants answer this question on the 16th October 2010, at 7pm, at Flutgraben e.V., Fultgraben 3, 12435 Berlin.

This afternoon with performances made only by male artists is not another contribution to the often strangely led gender discussions. It is more a humorous and provocative statement. The afternoon will show 8 international approaches to contemporary performance art made by male artists. Each performance will not be longer than 10 minutes. During the breaks we will serve coffee, tea and cake.

alienacje-alienations is an exhibition from the dialogues series. This time it's a meeting of two very strong artistic personalities: Anja Fussbach (Germany) and Angelika Fojtuch ( Poland). The works that both artists create in a kind of aggressive way make us think. Their works are very different in style, they often cross borders and provoke the recipient to react. Sometimes they are very brutal and literal, but even though it is hidden in the innocence of the materials or in using only a few gestures, they hit the mark or “put the finger in the wound”. Their art leaves no one unaffected.
alienacje-alienations to kolejna wystawa z serii dialogi. Tym razem jest to spotkanie dwóch bardzo mocnych osobowości twórczych: Anji Fussbach (Niemcy) i Angeliki Fojtuch (Polska). Obie artystki tworzą sztukę w pewien sposób agresywnie zmuszającą do refleksji. Ich prace, stylistycznie bardzo różne, często przekraczają granice i prowokują widza do działania. Czasami wręcz brutalnie w swojej dosłowności schowanej pod maską niewinności używanych materiałów czy oszczędnych gestów, dosięgają sedna i wkładają przysłowiowy palec w ranę. Ich sztuka nie pozostawia nikogo obojętnym.

IMPORTANT? A workshop that will take place from the 4th – 16th October 2010 in
Kirschau and Berlin in Germany.
The aim of this 12 day intensive workshop is for the participants to develop a
performance art work, based on the theme of the studies, which they will present
in public performances in Kirschau and Berlin.
The workshop is organised by BBB Johannes Deimling - artist, teacher, curator -

Poema-acción de Nel Amaro
“¿ Si D. Ramón de Campoamor hubiera
conocido a Marcel Duchamp ? “
Conocimiento del todo punto improbable, por cuestiones cronológicas y espaciales : nuestro poeta romántico, nació en Navia (Asturias) en 1.817 y murió en Madrid en el año 1.901,mientras que el artista dadaísta francés, quizás el más influyente de todos en el s. XX, nació en Plainville-sur-Crevon el 28 de julio de 1.887 y murió en Neville-sur-Seine (ambas poblaciones en Francia) el 20 de octubre de 1.968.
Es decir,el primero murió cuando el segundo solamente contaba con unos catorce años de edad y aún no había creado su famosísima y también polémica “ Fuente” ( u “ Orinario “ )
que tantos mares de tinta hizo y hace correr.
Por otro lado es difícil pensar que obras como
“ El Gaitero de Gijón”, “ Humoradas “,
” Doloras “ o “El tren expreso “ llegasen alguna vez a manos de Duchamp, que las leyera y pudieran influir de alguna manera en sus ready-made y obras como “ Rueda de bicicleta sobre taburete”,”El gran vidirio “ o “ Desnudo, bajando una escalera”.
No obstante, del improbable conocimiento físico y espiritual, de la improbable influencia recíproca, nos permitimos una licencia conceptual y loas reunimos hoy en un lugar incomparable de la costa cantábrica asturiana, ante una magnífica obra de un artista vasco ya desaparecido,”Elogio del horizonte” de Eduardo Chillida, para filosofar sobre la relatividad de tantas cosas, como por ejemplo, el ARTE, donde lo que ayer parecía ser un Water para Kin-Kong hoy es el mejor y mayor símbolo de la ciudad de Gijón.
Porque, como decía el poeta “TODO ES DEL COLOR DEL CRISTAL CON QUE SE MIRE”.
